According to media reports on Sunday, a high-speed truck fell into a ditch in Bangladesh’s Madaripur district, killing 6 people and injuring 7 others. The Dhaka Tribune cited the official responsible, the Shibchar Highway Police. Mohammed Ali, saying the truck was carrying roof dump materials from Barguna to Dhaka when it rolled over on Saturday night near the Arial Khan Bridge toll plaza in Shibchar.
The driver lost control of the vehicle after hitting the bridge railing, killing two people on the spot. According to the “Daily Star” report, 11 people were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and 4 of them died while receiving treatment.
It is said that the truck driver was not injured and the police are looking for him. The investigation continues.
