Arrest of Six people on Bajrang Dal leader’s death

The tragic death of Bajarang Dal leader Harsha led to arresting six individuals in connection with the death of Bajrang Dal leader Harsha in Shivamogga,

but others remain at wild, according to a senior police officer on Tuesday, February 22. As reporting of sporadic arson and violent event in the city.

Consequently Stabbing of the 28-year-old, drove to death on Sunday night, prompting the city to impose a prohibitory order despite burning, violence, and stone pelting.

Further, extending the curfew till Friday by the district administration.

On Tuesday, District Commissioner Dr. Selvamani announced that a decision will be made in this regard on Friday morning. And proclamation of holiday In schools and colleges.

Recognizing Asif, Sayed Nadeem,  Rehan Sharef, Nihan,  Abdul Afnan,  and Kashif as the suspects.

The suspect arrived in a car, according to police officials, and  eyewitnesses  have  described  how the crime  happened. 

Interrogating a total of  12 people,  alongside arresting six of them.

During the interrogation, 

one of the six suspects, Qasif on  February 21, admitted that he and four people 

arrived in a car and struck Harsha  while he was having tea at a canteen  on Sunday night.

 The suspect escapes the murder  site  after attacking him with sharp  weapons.Investigation of the intention  behind the murder of Harsha is going on by the police.

Harsha’s father said that murdering of his son by Muslim thugs  because he belonged as a Bajrang Dal activist.

 On February 20, Harsha was  murdered, and a FIR was lodged  based on the  father’s  complaint.

Protests in Shivamogga after Harsha’s death turned violent on Monday, with protestors pelting stones, brandishing weapons, and even torching vehicles. 

To keep the situation from spiralling  out of control, authorities  resorted  to use tear gas to disperse the  gathering.
