Posted on March 4, 2026 By admin

Two youths were arrested for allegedly possessing 202 grams of suspected MDMA in one of the largest synthetic drug hauls in the city this year.

The arrested are Akshay Panachikapadom, 29, of Maradu and Reshma Nakulath, 34, of Vengoor, Thiruvananthapuram. They were nabbed from an apartment in Thripunithura.

In a separate incident, a 32-year-old man, Jithin Dcruz of Palluruthy, was arrested with 13.27 grams of suspected MDMA.

The arrests were made during a joint operation by the police, Excise, Narcotic control Bureau, and the dog squad. Six people were arrested in five cases registered over alleged drug peddling during the drive, the Kochi City police said on Wednesday.
