Priyansh named in Delhi’s Ranji squad for first game

Ayush Badoni will lead a 24-member Delhi squad for its opening fixture of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season against Hyderabad at NexGen Cricket Ground in Hyderabad from October 15 to 18.

Batter Yash Dhull has been named as the vice-captain. The squad features left-hand batter Priyansh Arya, who has impressed in the white-ball formats but is yet to play a First-Class game for Delhi.

Nitish Rana, who moved back to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh before this season, has also been included.

Rishabh Pant has not yet recovered from the foot injury that he suffered during the Test series against England. With Pant having to miss the ongoing series against West Indies, it is understood that the wicketkeeper-batter’s return to competitive action is likely to be in Delhi’s second Ranji fixture against Himachal Pradesh from October 25.
