Customers get a glimpse of the new compact SUV Kia Syros

From panoramic sunroof to wireless charging, stolen vehicle tracking to front ventilated seats, customers in Chennai were given a glimpse of what Kia promises to offer in its new compact SUV, the Syros.

R. Arunkumar, chief executive officer, VST Central Kia, an authorised KIA Cars India Dealer, said, Syros is an advanced product with over 80 connected features. “One of the important features is, in this segment, Syros comes with a panoramic sunroof, and we believe it will be a major attraction for customers. Kia, in Chennai, has a market share of 10 % and across the country, it stands at 8 %,” he added.

Magesh N., assistant general manager, VST Central Kia, said, “Compact SUVs have grown by 17 % in 2024. With Syros, we hope to increase the contribution of KIA in the market to 20 % and the vehicle has been developed to resonate the aspirations of modern customers.”

The car has been equipped with real time diagnostics and Over-The-Air software updates. Mr Magesh said, Syros has been developed with numerous features including a 30 inch trinity panoramic display panel which integrates with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Harman Kardon 8 Speakers Sound System, smartphone wireless charger and call centre-assisted navigation.

The vehicles has ADAS Level 2 features which include front collision warning, front collision-avoidance assist- car (FCA-Car), Lane Keep Assist, High Beam Assist and 360 degree camera blind view monitor

Syros comes with six trims and there are eight colour options including frost blue, sparkling silver, gravity grey, aurora black and glacier white and intense red.
