The Netherlands-based developer-first company Ariqt opened a global innovation hub in Hyderabad on Friday and with it launch operations in India.

It plans to expand workforce at the facility to more than 300 engineers in the first phase, over the next two years, reinforcing the region’s leadership in innovation and technology, the company said after IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the facility.

“Telangana’s annual IT exports have reached an impressive $30 billion. The State is home to over 6,000 startups and around 1,500 small and medium-sized software enterprises. Additionally, prominent global firms are setting up global capability centres (GCCs) in Hyderabad, further enriching the ecosystem. These advancements have created an abundance of employment opportunities for our talented youth,” the Minister told the gathering.

A release from his office said the Minister highlighted the transformative growth of the IT sector over the past two decades. Towards catering to the ever-evolving demands of industries, the government has conceived the Young India Skills University. “This university will empower Telangana to become a beacon of skilled talent…” he said.

Ariqt is into AI solutions that address challenges across industries and areas, including fintech, agriculture, sports, cybersecurity, travel and supply chain. The global innovation hub in Hyderabad will serve as the core for research, development and AI-driven advancements, creating impactful solutions for businesses worldwide.

CEO Rupesh Kumar said Hyderabad’s thriving ecosystem supported by the government’s leadership provides a perfect foundation for the company to innovate, grow and create meaningful impact.
