Hyundai donates advanced medical equipment to government hospital and PHCs in Cuddalore

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the philanthropic arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., handed over advanced medical equipment costing ₹1.1 crore to the Thittagudi General Hospital and six Primary Health Centres in Mangalur block in Cuddalore district on Saturday (December 7, 2024).

C.S. Gopalakrishnan, Trustee of HMIF donated the medical equipment in the presence of Tamil Nadu Minister for Labour and Skill Development C.V. Ganesan and Hiriyan Ravikumar, Joint Director of Health.

According to a press release, the donation includes around 140 advanced medical equipment such as digital x-ray machine with printer, double dome OT light, biphasic defibrillator, biochemistry and CBC analysers, baby warmer, etc. aimed at bolstering healthcare capacity of the centres to provide timely and quality care to patients.

The equipment are expected to addressed emergencies, maternal and child health needs, and chronic illness management.

According to Mr. Gopalakrishnan, access to quality healthcare is a fundamental need, and through this support, HMIF aims to bridge the gap in healthcare infrastructure for underserved areas.
