Ban on quarrying in Malappuram on December 2

Malappuram Collector V.R. Vinod banned quarrying in the district on Monday in view of the red alert sounded for the district. People have been advised to stay away from landslide-prone areas. Those living on the banks of the rivers have been asked to remain vigilant. Mr. Vinod asked the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), Public Works department (PWD), and panchayat-level disaster response teams to remain alert.
