Compensate delta farmers for crop loss due to floods: Annamalai

BJP State president K. Annamalai said every year, samba cultivation in the delta region of Tamil Nadu was affected due to the rains, and that the DMK government in the State had ignored the farmers’ request for carrying out desilting work in the region. In a social media post on Wednesday (November 27, 2024), he claimed that 2,000 acres of cultivation had been affected due to the floods and urged the DMK government to provide compensation to farmers and undertake desilting work immediately.
