SunRisers Hyderabad put a dominating show on Wednesday to thrash Lucknow Super Giants with a 10-wicket margin in an IPL 2024 game at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. SRH first bowled with discipline to restrict the KL Rahul-led side for a total of 165 for 4 in 20 overs before the duo of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma made mockery of the total. Head scored 89 not out off 30 while Abhishek hit unbeaten 75 off 28 as SRH reached home in 9.4 overs without losing any wicket. As soon as Abhishek slammed LSG pacer Yash Thakur for a match-winning six, SRH owner Kavya Maran was spotted celebrating in the stands. The pictures of her celebration are going viral on social media. See it all here –

The powerful batting from SRH stunned LSG captain Rahul. “I am lost for words. We have watched that kind of batting on TV. But this is unreal batting,” said the opener.

“Everything seemed to find the middle of the bat. Kudos to their skills. They have worked hard on their six hitting skills. They didn’t give us a chance to know what the pitch played in the second innings.

“Was hard to stop them as they teed off from ball one. Once you are on the losing side, there are questions marks on the decisions taken. We were 40-50 runs short. When we lost wickets in the powerplay, we couldn’t get any momentum. Ayush (Badoni) and Nicky (Nicholas Pooran) batted well to get us to 166. But even if we would have got 240, they could have chased it as well.”
