Pakistan Actor’s Comments On Babar Azam Draws Sharp Response, Forced To Make Account Private: Reports

Posted on April 24, 2024 By admin

Pakistan actor Nazish Jahangir, according to several Pakistan media outlets, is in the eye of a social media storm after her comments on T20 captain Babar Azam caused furore. The point of debate, according to dunyanews.com, was Nazish Jahangir’s comments on her Instagram account when a fan asked her whether she would marry Babar Azam. The report posted an screenshot of her response on Instagram story, saying: “Mazraat hi karungi”, which roughly translates to “Will say sorry”.

Following that the Pakistan actor got trolled on social media and samaa.tv reported that the actor had to make her account private.

Another report in arynews.tv said that after the social media reaction from the cricketer’s fans, the ‘Berukhi’ actor wrote in a story: “Babar bhai hum sab k bhai hain but un k fans MA dil khol k negativity phila rahy hain (Babar is like a brother to us but his fans are spreading negativity all across).”

However, the social media account of the actor was public on Tuesday night and the said insta stories were not present.

Talking about Babar Azam, who was reinstated as Pakistan’s T20I captain recently, is currently leading the side in a T20I series against New Zealand.

In the third T20I of the series, Mark Chapman hit an undefeated 87 to lead an under-strength New Zealand to a shock seven-wicket victory over Pakistan.

The 29-year-old left-hander smashed his runs off 42 balls to anchor New Zealand’s chase of a 179-run target in 18.2 overs against a much-vaunted Pakistan bowling attack, silencing a packed 16,000-strong holiday crowd.

Shadab Khan (41) and Babar Azam (37) were the main contributors in Pakistan’s 178-4 after the hosts were sent in to bat.

Tim Robinson hit 28 off 19 balls and Tim Seifert 21 off 16 to set the tone for New Zealand’s chase.

New Zealand were already strongly placed at 53-2 in the sixth over before Chapman and Dean Foxcroft (31) took over, adding a solid 117-run third-wicket partnership to square the five-match series at 1-1.

Pakistan won the second game by seven wickets while the first match was washed out after just two balls — both were also in Rawalpindi.
