Rohit Sharma Names Two Indian Players He Wouldn’t Share Room With, Says “Bade Gande Hain”

Posted on April 7, 2024 By admin

India captain Rohit Sharma has named two players he wouldn’t want to share a hotel room with. Rohit and Shreyas Iyer were guest on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by renowned comedian Kapil Sharma. The episode of Rohit and Iyer’s light-hearted interaction with Kapil premiered on Netflix on Saturday. During one of the conversations, Rohit joked that he would never share a room with PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan and DC skipper Rishabh Pant, calling the duo as “messy”.

“Everyone gets a single room nowadays. But if I get a chance to share a single room, there are two people with whom I wouldn’t want to share rooms with – Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant. Bade gande hai (They are very messy). After practice, they just toss their clothes on the bed,” Rohit said on the Great Indian Kapil Show.

Rohit further revealed that Dhawan and Pant sleep till late in the afternoon, and their hotel rooms are mostly on “Do Not Disturb (DND)”.

“Their room is always on DND because they sleep till 1PM. The housekeeping staff that comes in the morning to clean their rooms, so it’s important for them to put their rooms on DND. Otherwise, they will barge in. That’s why their rooms often stay messy for three to four days. It becomes a problem for the people staying around them. So, I don’t think I will be able to stay with them,” he added.

Rohit led India in the ODI World Cup last year on home soil, but the hosts lost to Australia in the final. He said that he expected the fans to be angry at them for losing the final at home but was surprised by the support he and the team received for their performance.

“I was thinking that the World Cup took place in our country but still we couldn’t win. I felt the nation might be angry with us. But I only heard people praising how well we played, and how they enjoyed watching that cricket,” said Rohit.

Rohit is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. However, he lost his captaincy to Hardik Pandya ahead of the season.
