Posted on November 3, 2026 By admin

The Malakpet police in Hyderabad have arrested three persons in connection with an attempted murder and robbery case in which a woman was allegedly stabbed inside her residence at Gaddiannaram on October 27. The police also recovered 23 mobile phones, including the one stolen from the victim, and three motorcycles allegedly linked to theft cases.

The accused were apprehended on Monday (November 2, 2026), during vehicle checks at Gaddiannaram Crossroads, with the assistance of the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force.

The incident occurred between 4.30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on October 27, when the prime accused allegedly entered the woman’s flat at Pochammabasti, Gaddiannaram, on a false pretext. He attacked her with a knife, causing serious injuries, and fled with her OnePlus mobile phone. The injured woman was shifted to Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet for treatment.

During the investigation, the police examined witnesses, collected CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and analysed other evidence to identify the suspect. Following the arrest of the prime accused, two other persons involved in receiving and disposing of stolen property were also apprehended. The arrested persons were identified as Kesari Manikanta (27), an auto driver, Narapogu Vamshi Krishna (28), also an auto driver and Ajay Kumar (28), a salesman at a garments store in Secunderabad.

The police seized 23 mobile phones of different makes and models, three motorcycles bearing registration numbers AP31EA1836, TS08FL5984 and AP11M7789, and a steel knife allegedly used in the offence.

According to the police, the investigation revealed the involvement of the accused in several property offences across Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana. The prime accused was previously involved in around 59 criminal cases, while Vamshi Krishna had around 39 cases registered against him.
