Capgemini’s Operations & Engineering business grew faster than its core technology services for the third consecutive quarter, extending a trend that began in late 2025, as acquisitions and rising demand for technology-led business transformation fuelled growth.

Operations & Engineering expanded 26.9% year-on-year at constant exchange rates in the September 2026 quarter, against 3.5% growth in Applications & Technology, which accounts for 63% of group revenue.

The divergence has persisted through the first three quarters of 2026. Operations & Engineering grew 25.2% in the March quarter and 24.2% in June, while Applications & Technology recorded growth of 4.8% and 5.3%, respectively. The trend first became pronounced in the December 2025 quarter, when the two businesses grew 20.8% and 7.4%, respectively.

Growth in Operations & Engineering was supported by the consolidation of acquisitions WNS and Cloud4C, which contributed significantly in North America, the UK and Ireland, and Asia-Pacific.

Capgemini also reported double-digit like-for-like growth in Intelligent Business Operations, reflecting strong performance across its own operations and WNS.

“Clients are transforming their business operations with agentic AI, as reflected in another quarter of double-digit like-for-like growth in Intelligent Business Operations, strengthened by WNS’s scale and capabilities,” Chief Executive Officer Aiman Ezzat said.

The segment comprises Intelligent Business Operations, infrastructure and cloud services, and research and development and engineering services.

Mr. Ezzat said clients were increasingly looking to deploy artificial intelligence at enterprise scale while addressing governance, cost and security challenges, driving demand to modernise technology and data foundations.

Capgemini reported third-quarter revenue of €6.07 billion, up 11.7% at constant exchange rates, while bookings rose 3.4% to €5.40 billion. Its global workforce increased 18% year-on-year to 417,500, largely reflecting WNS integration.

For the first half of 2026, group net profit declined to €498 million from €724 million a year earlier. The company did not disclose a separate net-profit figure for the September quarter.
