Justice T. Madhavi Devi of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday (October 6, 2026) directed the Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) officials not to take any coercive steps against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Manne Krishank in a crime registered over the alleged false allegations he made during a press conference over assets acquired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s family members.
The judge instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) to serve notices on Krishank as per section 35 (3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita-2023 in the crime. The judge also said the police should follow the guidelines laid down by the apex court in Arnesh Kumar vs State of Bihar. She noted that the Supreme Court in the Lalitha Kumari case held that police should make preliminary enquiries before issuing a First Information Report (FIR).
Justice Madhavi Devi, however, directed the petitioner to co-operate with the investigators. The CCS authorities issued a FIR (668/2026) based on a complaint lodged by Mettu Sai Kumar, chairman of Telangana Fisheries Cooperative Societies Federation. He charged that Krishank, BRS party social media convenor, recently addressed a press conference making baseless allegations against the Chief Minister’s daughter Naimisha Reddy and accused her of acquiring assets worth several thousands of crores of rupees.
Krishank moved a lunch motion in the High Court questioning the FIR. The petitioner’s counsel contended that the FIR against Krishank was based on a false complaint. The Government Pleader for Home, Mahesh Raje, argued the case was registered the previous day and the police were ascertaining details in the matter.
Meanwhile, the Gopalapuram Police picked up Krishnak near his house in Secunderabad around 10 a.m. in another case booked against him over the alleged objectionable content he had posted in social media over the Chief Minister’s family members securing high stakes in a private medical hospital group and a pharmacy company.
