Wedding celebrations are set to begin at the residence of Andhra PradeshCongress Committee (APCC) president Y.S. Sharmila Reddy, with her daughter, Y.S. Anjili Reddy, set to marry Dr. Somala Raghuram Reddy, a prominent medical professional based in the United States.
Ms. Sharmila announced the news on X on Sunday (September 6, 2026), saying that she and her husband Anil Kumar were grateful to God and delighted to share the news of their daughter’s marriage being arranged with Mr. Raghuram Reddy.
Mr. Raghuram Reddy is the son of Somala Subba Reddy and Somala Padma Reddy. The family hails from Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh and has since settled in the United States. According to Ms. Sharmila all members of the groom’s family are U.S. citizens.
“My husband, Anil Kumar, and I are very grateful to God and delighted to share the wonderful news that our daughter, Y.S. Anjili Reddy’s marriage has been arranged with Dr. Somala Raghuram Reddy, son of Sri Somala Subba Reddy and Smt. Somala Padma Reddy,” Ms. Sharmila wrote in her post on X. She also sought the prayers and blessings of all friends and well-wishers for the couple.
“Hallelujah!” she concluded her announcement.
