Henrietta Flavia Pereira emerged as the costliest player at the inaugural Women’s Andhra Premier League auction​ here on Tuesday, with Godavari Golden Eagles spending ₹4.3 lakhs to sign the all-rounder​.

World Cup winner N. Shree Charani was roped in by Rayalaseema Zen Stars for ₹1.1 lakhs, though the extent of her participation remains to be seen as she is set to be in action for India at the Asian Games, whose schedule (September 17 to 22) clashes with WAPL’s (September 15 to 26).

Twelve-year-old A. Shanmukha Priya was the youngest to be picked, with Zen Stars spending ₹30 thousand to sign her.

Amaravati e-Champions (₹14.95 lakhs) ended as the biggest spenders, followed by Golden Eagles (₹14.80 lakhs), Zen Stars and Vizag Fire Birds (₹14 lakhs each). Zen Stars, meanwhile, were the only team to end up with a full 20-player squad, with the other three teams settling on 18-member squads.
