AAP writes to Police Commissioner over ‘worsening’ law & order

AAP writes to Police Commissioner over ‘worsening’ law & order

Posted on August 22, 2026 By admin

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sought time to meet Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar over the alleged worsening of the law and order situation in the national capital.

“Today, regarding the continuously deteriorating law and order situation in our assembly constituency and Delhi, the rising crime, and the illegal trade of drugs, I have written a letter to the Commissioner of Delhi Police sir along with my MLA delegation requesting a meeting time. We hope that the Police Commissioner sir will give us a meeting time at the earliest, considering the seriousness of the matter,” Kuldeep Kumar, AAP Delhi vice-president, said in a post on X.

Mr. Kumar said that complaints regarding the illegal drug trade and sale of narcotic substances in various parts of the constituency had also been continuously emerging alongside these incidents. “This is a serious concern, particularly for young people and their families. There is widespread anger among local residents over this issue. People want the police administration to take effective and strict action against the drug trade and crime,” he said.
