Adarsh B.S., a Students’ Federation of India (SFI) activist, who is accused in the alleged attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials during a raid at Kerala Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan’s house in Thiruvananthapuram three months ago, was apprehended in Chennai on Monday (August 10, 2026).
Adarsh, the 27th accused in the case, had been absconding and managed to travel to the United Arab Emirates on a visit visa. He was detained upon his arrival at the Chennai airport.
A lookout notice had been issued against the accused. Immigration officials detained him at the airport and informed the Thiruvananthapuram City Police, which is investigating the case.
A police team from Thiruvananthapuram will soon take custody of him and bring him to the State. He will subsequently be produced before the district court as part of the further legal proceedings.
Video footage
Adarsh, a member of the SFI’s Chala area committee in Thiruvananthapuram, was not initially named as an accused. He was later included in the case after investigators examined video footage of the incident and allegedly identified him among those involved in vandalising an ED vehicle.
Another accused, identified as Palayam native Santhosh, has also been absconding and is also facing a lookout notice, official sources said.
