The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday (August 3, 2026) successfully secured the deportation of Red Notice fugitive Vishakha Rathod from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India.

Rathod is wanted in connection with large-scale financial fraud and criminal conspiracy with several associates. She led clients to invest in various schemes by falsely promising guaranteed “fixed monthly returns”. She then misappropriated the funds by diverting the money through multiple bank accounts and demat accounts.

The fugitive arrived in Pune on Monday (August 3, 2026), and was taken into custody by a team from the Maharashtra Police.

Earlier, INTERPOL had published a Red Notice against Rathod.
