Govt. committed to providing permanent solutions to people’s problems: Seethakka

Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) on Wednesday said the government’s responsibility was not merely to listen to people’s grievances but to provide permanent solutions, and asserted that it would work responsibly until justice was done to every deserving person.

Participating in the weekly face-to-face programme at Gandhi Bhavan, the Minister received petitions from people and assured them that each representation would be examined carefully. She directed officials to continuously monitor every petition and take timely action.

She made it clear that long-pending issues should be resolved without delay and that people should not be forced to make repeated visits to government offices. Officials were asked to prepare clear action plans and ensure effective implementation of solutions.

Among the grievances raised were complaints of alleged land encroachments and changes in pattadar passbooks due to irregularities in the implementation of the previous Dharani system. Eligible families who had not received houses during the previous government’s tenure sought sanction of Indiramma houses, while several youth appealed for an increase in the upper age limit for police recruitment. Petitions were also submitted seeking withdrawal of police cases allegedly registered during the previous regime.
