College teachers, non-teaching staff and students staged a protest in Thoothukudi on Thursday condemning the assault on students who have been protesting in New Delhi against the irregularities in the NEET examination.
The demonstration organised by the members of Madurai Kamaraj, Manonmaniam Sundaranar, Mother Teresa, Alagappa, Tamil Nadu Teachers’ Education and Anna University Teachers’ Association (MUTA) was held in front of V.O. Chidambaranar College. The protestors condemned the union government over the alleged attack on the students and demanded the dissolution of the National Testing Agency.
A large number of college teachers, non teaching staff, office bearers of the SFI and college students participated in the demonstration and raised slogans in support of their demands.
