After the Delhi Police shifted activist Sonam Wangchuk to the Safdarjung Hospital, his wife, Gitanjali J Angmo, said on Saturday (July 18, 2026) that no medical treatment should be administered to the activist without her consent.

Ms. Angmo confirmed that Mr. Wangchuk has been admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital.

In a post on X, Ms. Angmo said, “Nothing should be administered to him orally or intravenous without taking consent from me, his family and his doctors who have been monitoring his health for the past 20 days.”
