‘Aatral’ launched to empower women entrepreneurs

CII Indian Women Network (IWN), Madurai Chapter, on Tuesday launched its 11-month flagship initiative for women entrepreneurs ‘Aatral’ aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs through a structured mentoring ecosystem. 

According to a press release, the programme was designed to help participants scale their businesses by providing mentoring, networking opportunities, peer learning, and essential business management skills.

Founding Member of Aravind Eye Care System G. Natchiar, in her keynote address, motivated aspiring women entrepreneurs with valuable insights on leadership and success.

Welcoming the gathering Convenor, IWN Madurai Chapter, and Managing Director, Devadoss Multispeciality Hospital Hema Sathish outlined the objectives of the initiative. She emphasised that the programme would serve as an excellent platform for women entrepreneurs and help nurture the next generation of successful women business leaders from Madurai.

Lead, IWN Entrepreneurship Vertical, and Founder of SevenClover Coaching Services Sharmila Devi along with; Co-Lead, Entrepreneurship Vertical, IWN Madurai, and Director of Green Fem Producer Company Elamathi Arul, encouraged the participants and highlighting that ‘Aatral’ was a platform dedicated to empowering, enabling, and elevating women entrepreneurs.

Chairman, CII Madurai Zone, and Managing Director, Susee Finance and Leasing, Rajiv S. Jeyabalan; Co-Lead, Entrepreneurship Vertical, IWN Madurai, and Managing Partner, Sree Vinayaga Screens Kalyani Ramanathan; and Co-Convenor, IWN Madurai Chapter and Director, VTM, Visalakshi Kannan addressed the participants.

They emphasised the importance of women’s entrepreneurship, the significant contribution of micro-enterprises to India’s economy, and the need to build a strong ecosystem that supports women-led businesses.

‘Aatral’ programme will run over the next 11 months, offering structured mentoring, expert guidance, networking opportunities, and practical business development sessions to enable women entrepreneurs to build sustainable and scalable enterprises, the press release said.
