Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president P.V.N. Madhav has called upon the youth to enter politics with a commitment to nation-building and the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Addressing a meeting of Yuva Morcha State office-bearers here on Sunday, Mr. Madhav said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working to transform India into a developed nation by 2047 and that the goal could not be achieved without the active participation of young people.

He said politics should serve as a platform for public service rather than a means to enjoy power, and encouraged youth, particularly women, to enter public life with a sense of purpose.

Mr. Madhav urged young people to raise their voices on public issues and effectively counter what he described as the opposition parties’ misleading propaganda.

He said the Central government was giving special importance to the development of Andhra Pradesh and pointed out that Polavaram was the only national project to receive 100% funding from the Centre.

He stressed the need to make people aware of the Centre’s support for the construction of Amaravati and said the large-scale investments flowing into the State were creating fresh opportunities for industrial growth.

Mr. Madhav called upon Yuva Morcha activists to ensure that Mr. Modi’s vision, developmental agenda and welfare programmes reached the people.

Yuva Morcha State in-charge Ashok Raju, State organisational general secretary Madhukar, BJYM State general secretary N. Harikrishna and others were present.
