Bengal T20 | Karan sizzles in Howrah Warriors’ big win

Bengal T20 | Karan sizzles in Howrah Warriors’ big win

Posted on June 11, 2026 By admin

Karan celebrates his blistering century knock

Karan Lal’s excellent all-round showing, including a blistering 64-ball 145, propelled Servotech Siliguri Strikers to an emphatic 73-run win over Adamas Howrah Warriors in the Bengal T20 League at the Eden Gardens here on Thursday.

Strikers rode on Karan’s highest-ever individual score to register BTL’s highest team total, 231 for two before wrapping up Warriors’ innings for 158 to secure its third win as Karan contributed two wickets with his off-spin.

With a high back-lift and impressive bat speed, the 25-year-old plundered seven fours and 14 massive sixes. He displayed maximum aggression in the 15th over by hammering off-spinner Writtick Chatterjee for 6, 4, 6, 6, 6, 4.

Karan added 117 runs with captain Sudip Chatterjee (58, 42b, 6×4, 1×6) and 114 with Vishal Bhati (27, 14b, 3×4, 1×6) before falling off the last ball of the innings.

Opening the bowling, Karan bowled Ankit Chatterjee in the first delivery and later dismissed Shashank Singh.

“I wanted to play such a knock. I’ve worked on my bat speed and six-hitting skills,” said Karan.

The scores: Men: Servotech Siliguri Strikers 231/2 in 20 overs (Sudip Chatterjee 58, Karan Lal 145, Vishal Bhati 27 n.o.) bt Adamas Howrah Warriors 158 in 19.2 overs (Writtick Chatterjee 27, Shakir Gandhi 40, Karan Lal 2/29, Akhilesh Yadav 3/19, Shivamm Bharati 2/21).

On Wednesday: Rashmi Nes Medinipur Wizards 74/3 in 6 overs lost to Novus Royals Purulia 75/3 in 5.5 overs (Ankur Paul 30).

Women: Howrah Warriors 154/4 in 20 overs (Ankita Chakraborty 52, Sujata Dey 70) bt Shrachi Rarh Tigers 137/8 in 20 overs (Bidisha Dey 60, Disha Chandak 3/22, Remondina Khatun 2/29); Siliguri Strikers 43/5 in five overs bt Kolkata Royal Tigers 33/5 in five overs (Sushmita Ganguly 2/9, Ananya Halder 2/11).
