I will inspect any school anytime without prior notice, warns Minister Rajmohan

Posted on June 7, 2026 By admin

School Education Minister Rajmohan said he would visit and inspect any school across Tamil Nadu at any time without any prior notice.

Speaking to the press here on Sunday, he said, “This should not be taken as a warning; rather, officials and teachers must view it as a sense of accountability.”

“We must realise that we are in a position that determines the future of students with collective responsibility. Visits will not be just a formality after giving prior notice,” he added.

“We will personally inspect schools in the 38 districts across Tamil Nadu at any time. Therefore, keeping everything in a state of readiness is the collective responsibility of the officials concerned,” he added.

When asked about the school bags being put in trash, which was video-graphed, he said, the Headmaster concerned had since retrieved those bags.

“There are so many poor children, and the bags have been properly distributed to other children who need them. The goal of this scheme is to ensure equal distribution to everyone, and this incident happened in just one place. Following the issue being highlighted on social media, the Headmaster confiscated them,” Mr. Rajmohan added.

On the question regarding former Chief Minister M. K. Stalin’s statement that the government was running at the mercy of the DMK and would be dissolved within three months, he answered that a senior and mature political leader, who currently holds the position of a former Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu, should not have spoken like that.

As far as they were concerned, the Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has given representation in the Cabinet to the alliance partners, exactly as promised.

“Vanniyarassu receiving a place in the Cabinet not just for him as an individual but it is a recognition for the long-oppressed people. For the first time after so many years, the Indian Union Muslim League has found a place in the Cabinet, which serves as a symbol of giving a voice to the voiceless”, he said.

In the name of an alliance, others used to ride on their backs to merely secure votes without giving them their due recognition, Mr. Rajmohan stated, adding, “For the first time in Tamil Nadu politics, Mr. Vijay has fulfilled this and shown the way.”

On whether the NEET Abolition Bill would be passed again in the Legislative Assembly, he said, “Consultations are currently under way regarding passing various other resolutions.”
