Man arrested for abusive social media posts

Posted on May 25, 2026 By admin

Police have arrested a man for posting videos allegedly in abusive language against Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.

Police said J. James Raja 30, of Munneerpallam, who is working with a Bengaluru-based information technology firm, had posted messages condemning the law and order situation of Tamil Nadu and the crime against women and the children.

He also had posted a video against the sexual assault and murder of a 10-year-old girl in Coimbatore.

Since he had reportedly abused Mr. Joseph Vijay for these incidents, the cyber crime wing police filed case against James and arrested him on Monday.
