A 17-year-old boy was murdered by unidentified persons at Perumanadu village in Annavasal police station limits in Pudukottai district on Thursday (May 21, 2026) night. The police identified the deceased as M. Anbuselvan of Perumanadu.
Previous enmity is suspected to be the motive behind the murder. The boy, along with one of his relatives, was allegedly involved in assaulting a person identified as Sathyaraj, leading to his death a couple of years ago. The police had registered a case then.
The police suspect that the relatives of Sathyaraj are behind the murder of Anbuselvan. The body was sent for autopsy to the Pudukottai Government Medical College Hospital. The Annavasal police are investigating the case.
