A road accident occurred on the Darakonda ghat road in GK Veedhi mandal on Thursday evening.
A Bolero pickup vehicle, which was transporting milk packets to local anganwadi centres, reportedly lost control and overturned.
According to local residents and police, there were three occupants in the vehicle at the time of the accident. One person sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Locals expressed deep concern over the recurring accidents on the Darakonda Ghat route. They pointed out that the stretch is highly dangerous due to numerous sharp, blind curves, forcing motorists to travel in fear. Residents have urged officials to intervene and implement necessary safety measures immediately.
