Telangana BIE re-releases admission schedule; classes for Inter first year to begin from June 1

Posted on May 11, 2026 By admin

Phase-I admissions to Intermediate first year will begin on Tuesday, and classes will commence from June 1, the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) said while releasing the admissions schedule for 2026-27 afresh on Monday.

As per the schedule, the last date for receipt of applications in all colleges is May 31, and admissions in the first phase shall be completed by June 30.

The BIE instructed principals of all colleges in the State to make provisional admissions based on candidates’ internet marks memo downloaded by them on the day of the result. The same will be confirmed after the candidates produce their original SSC pass certificate and Transfer Certificate issued by their school authorities.

The Board’s admission schedule for the upcoming academic year was originally issued on May 5 but was soon kept in abeyance over a lack of clarity regarding the proposed merger of the Intermediate Board with schools as a unified system. The State government later deferred the decision.

Principals of junior colleges have also been directed to limit each section to a maximum of 88 students, with additional sections requiring prior approval from the Board. To this effect, college managements are also required to prominently display at the entrance of the building the number of sections sanctioned by the Board, along with the number of seats filled and vacant in each section, on a daily basis. Aadhaar details of students are mandatory at the time of admission.

The BIE instructed principals to ensure the safety of girl students and make it compulsory for both students and parents to submit an anti-drug affidavit at the time of admission.
