Lovers of classical dance in Kozhikode are in for a treat on Monday (May 11, 2026). One of the country’s finest Bharatanatyam dancers, Priyadarsini Govind, is performing at Sukratheendra Kalamandir.
The programme is part of the Nisarga dance festival, organised by the city-based Nrityalaya. This is the third edition of the festival.
For a city that rarely gets to watch quality classical dance shows these days, the initiative by Nisarga matters. “We are happy that we could get Priyadarsini for this year’s festival,” said Bharatanatyam dancer Aswathy V. Nair, who has been curating Nisarga along with her dancer husband N. Srikanth. “We were originally planning to have the programme at the Kozhikode Beach, which is such a wonderful venue, but have had to change it because of the possibility of rain.”
