Bi-weekly special train now to run as bi-weekly regular service

The Railway Board has approved the regularization of Train Nos 06539/06540 Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru-Bidar-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Bi-weekly Express Special (TOD) as a permanent service, renumbered as Train Nos 16559/16560 SMVT Bengaluru-Bidar-SMVT Bengaluru Bi-weekly Express.

Accordingly, Train No 16559 Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru-Bidar Bi-weekly Express will leave Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru every Friday and Sunday effective May 15, while Train No 16560 Bidar-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Bi-weekly Express will leave Bidar every Saturday and Monday effective May 16.

Train No 16559 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 9.15 p.m. and reach Bidar at 12.15 p.m. the next day.

En route, the train will arrive/leave Yelahanka at 9.45 p.m./9.47 p.m., Hindupur at 11.01 p.m./11.03 p.m., Dharmavaram at 00.01 a.m./00.06 a.m., Anantapur at 00.33 a.m./00.35 a.m., Guntakal at 2.05 a.m./2.10 a.m., Adoni at 2.48 a.m./2.50 a.m., Mantralayam Road at 3.28 a.m./3.30 a.m., Raichur at 4.43 a.m./4.45 a.m., Krishna at 5.20 a.m./5.30 a.m., Yadgir at 6.18 a.m./6.20 a.m., Shahabad at 8.20 a.m./8.22 a.m., Kalaburagi at 9.05 a.m./9.10 a.m. and Humnabad at 10.23 a.m./10.25 a.m.

In the return direction, Train No 16560 will leave Bidar at 2 p.m. and arrive at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 4 a.m. the next day.

En route, the train will arrive/leave Humnabad at 3.48 p.m./3.50 p.m., Kalaburagi at 5.10 p.m./5.15 p.m., Shahabad at 5.20 p.m./5.22 p.m., Yadgir at 6.08 p.m./6.10 p.m., Krishna at 6.35 p.m./6.45 p.m., Raichur at 7.18 p.m./7.20 p.m., Mantralayam Road at 7.43 p.m./7.45 p.m., Adoni at 8.28 p.m./8.30 p.m., Guntakal at 9.40 p.m./9.45 p.m., Anantapur at 10.48 p.m./10.50 p.m., Dharmavaram at 11.40 p.m./11.45 p.m., Hindupur at 00.25 a.m./00.27 a.m. and Yelahanka at 1.38 a.m./1.40 a.m.

The train will have a composition of 20 coaches comprising one AC 2-tier coach, two AC 3-tier coaches, 11 sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches and two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Vans/disabled friendly coaches, said a release from Chief Public Relations Officer, South Western Railway, Manjunath Kanamadi.
