Sarun wins men’s long jump gold

National indoor champion Sarun Payasingh continued his good run as he won the men’s long jump gold with 7.46m at the fourth leg of the Indian Athletics Series here on Sunday (April 12, 2026).

Among other notable performers, international Vithya Ramraj won the women’s 400m hurdles gold and World championships finalist Sarvesh Kushare secured the men’s high jump title.

The results (winners only):

Men: 100m: Aniket (Mah) 10.60; 200m: Mahendra Santa (Odi) 21.96; 800m: Mohd. Mahasin Awal (WB) 1:53.21; 5,000m: Sandeep Pal (UP);

110m hurdles: Krishik M (Rel) 13.72; 400m hurdles: Shakti Singh (Raj) 51.34; Long jump: Sarun Payasingh (Odi) 7.46m; Javelin: Uttam (Mah) 74.85m; High jump: Sarvesh Kushare (Mah) 2.19m.

Women: 100m: Mousumi Roy (Odi) 11.83; 200m: Mousumi Roy (Odi) 24.79;

5,000m: Bharti (Har) 16: 55.42; 400m hurdles: Vithya Ramraj (Rly) 57.02; Long jump: Ancy Sojan (Navy) 6.45m.
