A youth was assaulted by a group of persons at the Kilpauk Government Medical College Hospital in Chennai on Tuesday (May 5, 2026) night.
City police said the victim, identified as Solomon, is a resident of Otteri and had visited the Kilpauk Government Hospital to enquire about his uncle’s health who was admitted there. As he was waiting at the hospital, his mobile phone rang with the ringtone of TVK party song. Enraged by this, a group of persons had a heated argument with Solomon and asked him to stop the music.
As the argument escalated, the group brutally assaulted Solomon. In the attack, Solomon was injured and was admitted as an inpatient in the hospital. The Kilpauk police, on being alerted, have registered a case and are investigating.
