Texprocil refutes United States Trade Representative allegations on Indian cotton textile sector

The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council —Texprocil— has submitted a representation to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) rejecting claims of excess capacity and forced labour in the Indian cotton textiles sector.

Responding to the ongoing Section 301 investigations, the Texprocil filed a submission on April 15 refuting the inclusion of India’s cotton textiles sector in both the investigations.
