In a renewed push to break the prolonged deadlock over Legislative Council nominations, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan on Sunday (April 19, 2026), urging expeditious approval of pending nominations under the Governor’s quota.

The names of Prof M. Kodandaram and Mohammad Azharuddin, which had been approved earlier by the State Cabinet, remain pending with the Lok Bhavan since the last Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, who is now transferred to Maharashtra.
